Medical, Dental, Vision

In this position you will provide administrative support for physician billing services as it relates to practice management software administration and electronic transactions.  Responsibilities include:

  • Responds to support requests for practice management software setting changes
  • Administration of practice management software includes but is not limited to new setups, adding insurance carriers, adding referring doctors, electronic eligibility configuration, and claim scrubber plugin configuration
  • Process daily EDI transactions
  • Process daily patient statements
  • Diagnosis and resolve payor rejections
  • Respond to inquiries regarding issues with claims, payments, and any clearinghouse activities
  • Monitor EDI transmissions and identify opportunities to improve relevant processes
  • Stay current on changes in requirements from insurance companies and clearinghouse to ensure prompt processing of claims
  • Collaborate with the Provider Enrollment department to maintain physician fee schedules in accordance with established coding practices and governmental regulatory requirements
  • Assist provider enrollment with electronic transaction enrollment
  • Maintains the manual of procedures
  • Completes other projects as assigned


  • Understanding of medical billing and basic EDI transactions
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality guidelines
  • Ability to effectively use web-based applications and service portals
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
  • Ability to manage priorities and handle simultaneous demands
